Hi there!
I started A Wish Bestowed Photography in 2020 as a tribute to my sister, Adrie. In January of that year, she turned 58 and was battling liver cancer. My birthday gift to her was a promise - that every wish I made would be for her to feel a little better on that day. There was nothing more I could ask for her. She was living with so much pain that I found myself looking for wishes to bestow on her. Dandelions were my favorite, but I threw coins in fountains, watched the clock to catch 11:11, and wished on eyelashes. I looked for the first star of night (star light, star bright) and stared into the night skies looking for falling stars. I looked for any opportunity because I was otherwise helpless against her pain. She passed in June of that year.
I am still (and forever) on the lookout for opportunities to make a wish; and in Adrie's honor, every wish made is bestowed on others.
The recipients vary, as do the wishes. My standbys are for health, happiness, sobriety, and peace.
I even have a special wish for you!
In every finished photo, I place a dandelion seed as my way of bestowing a wish on you.
If you find the wish, make a wish - either for yourself or to bestow on another.
